Friends of the Columbia Gorge
Brand Identity
A holistic approach to protecting the Gorge.
From humble beginnings, Friends of the Columbia Gorge has grown to be one of the leading contributor in preserving the natural beauty of the entire Columbia Gorge region—including all aspects of land, air and water. For four decades, they work with private organizations and government agencies in the best interest of the Gorge and now needed a new brand that announces their growth and efforts. I created a more sophisticated look for their new brand identity that represents protection, stability and their 10,000ft view approach.

The message from the Friends organization was clear—”We love this area that we call home and we want to protect it for future generations.” I wanted the logo to highlight the iconic Columbia River and the encompassing land, air and water, both north and south of the river, that was under the watchful eye of the Friends organization. From there, it was a matter of finding a typeface that struck the right balance of approachable and authoritative, and developing a color palette that pulled directly from the vibrancy of the Columbia Gorge.

The new brand identity rejuvenated the organization and resonated with Friend’s younger target audience. The result was an increase in volunteers, donations and excitement for the future of the organization.

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is a popular attraction many Oregonians are familiar with. What they’re less familiar with is the important work OCA does to conserve and protect all the wondrous creatures that call the coastal region home. For several years, I’ve had the pleasure of building compelling campaigns that inspire and drive visitors.

AllCare Health
The only, locally-owned and operated medicare provider in southern Oregon needed a fresh campaign to drive medicare enrollment. Amidst many challenges of 2020, we delivered a campaign for AllCare Health that conveyed a “made here for here” brand message. The result uplifted their employees and resonated with their audience.
